Therefore, these extra gadgets become more and more appealing for the simple reason that it attracts people.

It is okay to put up some extra features and gadgets. However we all have lived with the trusty principle of anything that's too much will turn out badly. This principle applies to all website development just as well. What we are saying is that no matter how tempting it is, never fall prey to the fault of over decorating! Anything in excess is just bad - don't do it!
Another thing not to put on your site as you move forward with your website development is the use of large obstructing images in the pages. These just distract the visitors and patrons from the main core of the site and you don't want that. Keep the decorations, photos and images to a minimum and only used them when necessary.
Neon is never good for background; that is another tip. If you are intent on putting backgrounds that are nice, bright and lively, different neon colors are not the best of choices. For one, various neon colors clash with just about anything. Use these colors for bullets, lines and the like, but never for backgrounds! These colors are available to be used when it comes to highlighting.
So there you have it! Are you ready to start your website development? Start designing!
