I can only describe making my first website experience as horrible, time consuming and altogether an unhealthy experience for me. I lost hours of sleep and what little sleep I did have was during the day, much to the fury and annoyance of friends and family alike who told me I couldn't function in the real world with a nocturnal lifestyle. I didn't eat or drink well, I constantly wrestled with website problems and issues in my head, and near the end of the experience I felt like a man being wrestled by a pro-athlete. I felt like I was trapped in a metaphorical colossal bear hug, and all I could do was shout "Submit! Submit!" To cap it all off, my first website was horrible, an absolute eyesore of a website.
These days though, I could crank out a fairly nice looking (at least respectable looking) website in a few hours. Obviously I would have to wait for domains and hosting to propagate, but beyond that it is no longer the time consuming hellish event that it used to be. This is all down to one thing. Practice. A lot of business owners online, webmasters and internet marketers never take the time to properly equip with themselves with the knowledge necessary to do simple things online. They either end up doing a half-baked effort, or paying some one else, who depending on their work ethic, will either do a really good job, or a half-baked effort themselves.
My point is that really these only take practice. You don't have to be a genius. You just have to be brave enough to use a support ticket, and ask the simplest of questions until you know what you are doing. Look for video tutorials, look for instructional pdfs, but most importantly of all, keep doing it until you get it right. It is only a matter of time and practice. And as we all know, practice makes perfect.
