Online Business Versus Offline Business? Is There a Difference?

Recently I was visiting a social marketing site and I was amazed by the number of people who were crying for help and asking questions such as how do I make money here on this site. I was also amazed at the lack of support and training from the owners. As far as up line support for the members there was none.

I could not believe the amount of spam that was sent out in the messages and into the forum on that particularly site. People were answering advertisements and joining this site with no idea what they doing or what the site was all about. The lure of joining for free and make money had attracted a lot of people. It is my opinion that this particularly site will not last. It was doomed before it started.

So what should you look at before you start or join an on line business? There are a number of issues a person should consider before you join or start a business but there is one particularly item that everyone should understand.

An Internet business is a business much the same as an offline business. You have to treat it as your business.

1 If you started or considered an offline business such as a retail store, a construction company or some other business you were passionate about how would you start?

A What questions would you have about that business?
B Would you start a business without doing your research?
C What experience do you have?
D Where do you get the experience?
E How much will it cost?
F Do you have a budget?
G The location of the business
H How do you get traffic and sales?
I How are you going to advertise your business and let people know you exist?

Let's compare to an on line business

A What questions do have about that business?
B Are you doing your research in Google Yahoo and the other sites?
C What experience do you have in Internet marketing?
D Where do you get the experience?
E How much will it cost?
F Do you have a budget?
G Where are you located?
F How do you get traffic and sales?
I How do you advertise?

You see an Internet business (online business) is basically the same as an offline business. You have to learn how to build your business You have to do your research.

You have to gain experience.You have to have a budget.You have to have a blog or a web site which is your location. You have to learn how to get your site in the rankings in the search engines You have to get traffic, sales and advertise.

There is a couple of other important things that you should consider when starting any business. Your experience or expertise. You have to be determine to succeed. You have to be willing to learn and listen and last of all you have to put time and effort into your business.
