Trying to find the right balance in your budget to do so is becoming increasingly harder.

There are many different ways to market your product or service online.

First of all you have Google, which is PPC, (pay per click), advertising method, this way can become very expensive and confusing for the beginner, you need to set your daily budget, which can be anywhere from a couple of dollars to thousands per day, plus you also need to get your advertisement and URL to match well, or it wont succeed, plus keywords need to be just right as well, to match your ads, you cant have them too broad or they wont get found amongst the millions of other ads.

Secondly, there are free advertising sites, most of them say that they are free but often there is a catch, of either repetitively viewing other peoples sites to earn credits to advertise, or you need to purchase credits to advertise with them, the results with this method is normally fairly low, but it can help if you are on a very tight budget to begin with.

Thirdly, safe lists or opt-in lists, now these are totally different, yes, you can email to thousands at a time, but they can also email to you to, who wants to have thousands of emails in their mailbox everyday, they never get read, so in turn they will never read yours, instead you spend ages cleaning out your mail box.

Fourth, Advertising sites, eg; Craigslist, US Free ads, etc; this way is easier, you pay a small fee annually, type up a nice advertisement, and get huge exposure, this way is one of the better ones when you are first starting out, or an expert.

And last but not least free article sites, like EnzineArticles, top quality sites that give you the exposure of whatever it is that you want to write about, highly recommended.
