18 Mistakes That Can Ruin Your Online Based Business

I want to briefly talk about a few reasons why people fail to get it right online.

1. I can launch an online based business free.You can't build a business online at no cost, at least not without paying for one little thing or the other. You just have to get over this.

2. Build it consistently and the income will flow. You cannot just create a website and expect to start raking in profits.

3. Beautify it, "Trick it out". Unfortunately that's not for websites... this might work efficiently for brick and mortar businesses, but on the internet you have to keep it at a reasonable level.

4. Lacking a Unique Selling Strategy. You need to create a real presence on the web and you have to be unique too.

5. "I don't have to work hard to succeed on the internet." Sometimes harder at the beginning and it becomes simple and fun as you climb the ladder of success.

6. Earn money even while sleeping, 24/7/365 and so on. Sure, you can but your online based business requires great attention.

7. "I already know exactly what to do, I don't require any sort of game plan, plans are for beginners." You might as well count yourself out now and quietly turn in the keys and go home.

8. Not arriving at any point. People have a lot of other distractions these days, you don't have time for theory just get right to the point.

9. Writing for the offline audience is similar to writing for the online audience. Incorrect answer, thanks for playing the game.

10. Failing to bear in mind you are dealing with real people online. It is so easy to get online and the impersonal nature of the media can aid you lose business online as quickly as you can gain it.

11. Stopping at the initial sale with a client. Big mistake, this is only your initial contact with a prospect who said "I have confidence in you"...what is your next step?

12. Give them more reasons to return over and over again. It doesn't end at the initial visit, what are you going to do to keep them returning back to your site?

13. Having a horrible follow up system. Are you following up with someone who gave their email address to you by sending endless offers?

14. "I get over 5 million hits and yet no sales, how can that be possible?" Traffic isn't the solution, targeted traffic is.

15. Don't make your visitors think. Getting your visitors the information they are looking for as quickly and easily as possible should be one of your priority.

16. Lack of focus on your online based business. There is more ways to earn money online than you could write a book on but you need to make the right choice and focus on one until it develops profits consistently.

17. Failing to re-invest in your business. You always need to put back a certain percentage of your profit back into your business.

18. Failing to accurately track and monitor your business online. It is very easy to do this on the internet, yet a lot of people don't even try.
