Step #1 - Be proactive!

You have to realize that you can't just sit back and wait for Google and the other search engines to show up and index your site.

You can literally wait months for this to happen if you are in a big market! A lot of people think that they can just create a bunch of content and eventually Google will come along and index their site.

Step #2 - You must get at least one great quality backlink!

If you can get another site in your niche market to give you a backlink that will usually work to get you indexed.

The reason that it will work is because if you are getting a link from a really high quality site in your niche, that means Google is probably visiting that site every few hours.

So what happens is they will see that there is a new link on the site that is pointing back to your site. In most cases they will follow that link to your site and see that you are not indexed in the rankings.

After seeing this they will usually include you in the index so you can start getting traffic to your site and begin making money from all your SEO efforts.

The key to all this is the fact that you must make sure you get a link from a really high quality site that has a good page rank.
