How to Make Your PPC Ad Copy Stand Out
By Peter Garety

Are you in the process of writing copy for your pay-per-click or PPC campaign? Then it is a must for you to come up with PPC ad copy that will stand out from among the crowd and blow your competition to dust. After all, you only have a few words to devote to your PPC ad text, so you need to make each word count. It should pop out and grab your target audience's attention so that they will be intrigued enough to click on the link and visit your landing page. But how do you come up with copy for your PPC campaign that will catch the eye of your target audience? Here are three tips to help you out.

1. Do your research. Doing your keyword research as well as researching your niche is essential to writing ad copy. These tasks are supposed to tell you what keywords you should use so that your target audience will find you. They are also supposed to show you how you should approach your target audience so that they will be compelled to click on the link you have included with your ad copy.

2. Avoid tired, generic copy. Do not underestimate your target audience. Most of them are avid internet users and are inclined to think that they have all seen it before. So, to get the attention even of this jaded sector of your audience as well, you need to write PPC ad copy that sounds fresh and new. Try to avoid tired, old lines and cliches when writing your copy. Better yet, put yourself in your target audience's shoes and write what they want to read. Make your copy a hint to a solution to your audience's problems.

3. Do not use the same ad copy for different keywords. You do not like reading the same thing over and over again, do you? Your target audience feels the same way. If they see the same ad copy pop up on their searches, they will not really react positively to your PPC ad campaign. Always vary your ad copy and use different copies for different keywords.

You only have a few words to catch your target audience's attention when they read your PPC ad copy. Make sure that you do your research so your audience will find you and connect to you, avoid writing generic copy, and create copy variations with different keywords. You are bound to get more positive results for your PPC campaign that way.
