I was unhappy with the way I was making money in life, so I started to seek other ways to earn. Like you, I started looking for ways to make money online and I've stumbled upon Pay Per Click. Since it looked like a great way to earn some quick cash, I decided to jump in and start with it.
I couldn't have been more wrong!
Pay Per Click was suggested to me by an old friend of mine that was already making money with Internet Marketing. On the other hand, I didn't know anything about PPC. I downloaded (yes I admit, I downloaded) every ebook and tutorial video I could get my hand on, but like too many affiliate marketing newbies, I lost money on my first trials!
You see... There were (and still are) too many experienced advertisers out there that are willing to pay top dollar per click. That makes it increasingly difficult for newbies to play (let alone win) the game.
As I said, I read and watched loads of ebook and videos but no one thing gave me that silver bullet that could help me make achieve some profit. It took me a long time to realize that the problem was not in the markets high saturation and competition but in my way of thinking. I wanted everything to be instant and automatic. Yes there are lots of internet marketing gurus out there that say, they have an automated system that ensures you instant profit but in my experience that just doesn't work.
The only thing that ever worked for me and the only system I was comfortable with was the trial and error system. Trial and Error is the way of this game, no matter what anybody tells you there is no skipping that part if you're in the game for the long haul.
We'll go more into detail during my upcoming articles, but for now this is the running order of how I do it:
- Choose a product
- Research the product
- Research keywords - get as many combinations as you can
- Research other affiliates ads for this product
- Create your PPC campaign
- Use conversion tracking, ALWAYS!
- Start with direct linking BUT always push to have a landing page in the end....it's much better!
- Track Performance and Optimize
- Keyword adjustment
- Do it again for new product
