No doubt a few of you are wondering what outsourcing has to do with making money. You are probably thinking that it costs more to outsource than you will make back from it. Most people will tell you how paying someone to do something you can do yourself is a waste of money but to be perfectly honest they are wrong....very wrong.
When you first set up a site/blog/business, etc. it is very easy to fall into the trap of thinking that you not only can, but should do everything yourself. The problem is that there are just not enough hours in the day to manage everything on your own, and even if there was it wouldn't take long before you burned yourself out. You are much better off decided which things you can do best yourself and which would be better done by someone else then outsourcing those projects and tasks.
Once that is decided you then need to think about how and where to find people to do these tasks for you, there are quite a few that specialize in this but they are not always reliable and they are most definitely not cheap. Quite often when you hire what you believe to be an individual to do a task for you it turns out that you are actually hiring a company. Now this may sound great but unfortunately that means that you have no actual contact with the person that will be doing the work for you. So not only is getting your ideas and directions to the person who will be doing the actually work like playing Chinese whispers but you don't actually know anything about the person working for you.
Now imagine if you could not only know exactly who would be working for you, but also if you could talk to them directly, know that they were committed to doing the best they possibly could for you and get all of this for as little as $2 per hour? Interested yet?
A few days ago I had almost given up on trying to outsource some of the projects I wanted off my hands, then I got an email with a link to a video. The video was all about outsourcing and how it can boost your business, help it run much more smoothly and also and help you to make money. A follow up video goes into greater detail and starts showing you how and where to find great people to hire to do some work for you, it also gives you some really wonderful ideas about how to manage the people you have working for you.
I was very impressed by the content of the video; it contained some really great help and advice as well as some really great ideas to use in the future. The video was free to watch, I didn't even have to put in an email address. I am very much looking forward to seeing future videos and getting more information on making money by outsourcing the jobs I hate.
