Internet Marketing is taking its toll on everyone in the last few years. With affiliate marketing getting so popular, people are experimenting with different techniques to make themselves noticed by their potential audience. And when they turn to forums or blogs, they are given "expert" advice to post their links in the article directories, forums signatures, social networking sites and classified ads. Most of these sites will not frown upon their putting the affiliate links in their signature, and their profile. But classified sites are the ones that they should be very careful about while considering posting an ad. If you are posting frequently without any genuine items or reasons to buy or sell, chances are that your posts will be either removed immediately or they are flagged for approval before appearing live on the site.

Things to consider before posting on the classifieds website:

• Affiliate Products: If you are posting an ad with the affiliate link, make sure to give a lot of information about your product and why people should buy it. Giving extensive information about your product will help your visitors make up their minds to buy your product.
• Work from home: If you are posting a classified ad about work from home or part time jobs, make sure you write rich contents about the jobs you are offering. How much investment and how much income can be expected from the potential members. Try to post an evidence of how much you or other members made in the past to make your audience trust you.
• Electronics Products: If you are posting electronics products like cell phones, iPods, laptop etc. try to post as much information as possible like the dimensions of the product, age, color, performance, book value, warranty period if any and other vital information.
• Yorkie or bulldog puppies & dogs: You will find lots of dogs and puppy ads in the classifieds sites these days, accompanied with very nice pictures. They are also put with a very low price or free for adoption. Basically, looking at them will make it unbelievable. So, if you have a dog or puppy that you are looking to give away, please make sure to make it look as real as possible. Try adding the name of the pet, age, if they have been regularly to the vets and if they are registered pets. Post the pictures that look real. Try to make the ads more personalized.
• Cheap cars and trucks: Ads with cheap cars and trucks are taken down frequently from the classified sites. Reason being they are posted with very low amounts for the vehicles which are not even owned by the advertisers. Again, try to make sure your ad looks genuine by giving as much information about your vehicle as possible, like the color, year, model, mileage, regular services and maintenance proof, book value etc.
• Ad posting frequency: Do not post your classified ad(s) frequently or every other day. People who are looking to buy or sell new and used items will find you for sure and contact you.
• Above All: Try to buy, sell and trade locally. If you meet the buyer or seller in person, there is not way you can be duped of your money or your email.
