I have learned so much in the last couple of days about presence on the Internet. As an up and coming entrepreneur in this exciting world of Internet Marketing visibility is key. However, being visible also means gaining trust and building a relationship both walk hand in hand. You need to let your prospective customers know who you are and that you are just like them with the same hopes and dreams. Imagine yourself having a conversation with them through the social media sites that are available to us.
I like to use a wagon wheel as my visual each spoke is a social media site. You create your profiles and tell your future customers briefly about yourself. Who you are, where you come from and what you enjoy in life. You are having a conversation with them as if you just met them at a party, a get together at a friends or on the street. I use Facebook, Twitter and YouTube and there are probably many more, but these are my favorites. You may be asking what is at the center of this wheel? Your blog, you can use Blogger, WordPress.com or WordPress.org and this is where you let them know who you are and what you are all about by placing postings that are fun, educational and informative. Through the blog a relationship is formed between you and your new found friends. As you post and they monitor they become comfortable with you and your reputation becomes known. They want to know if you are real and if they can trust you enough to do business with you.
My reputation is very important to me and in my business I want to give the customer the same quality of service that I demand from others on the Internet or a store front on the street. I am a big believer in "Do onto others as you would want them to do onto you". I guess this it for now remember presence, trust, relationships and reputation are the key cornerstones of your Internet Marketing business.
