Adding Value to Your Internet Marketing Products in Three Simple Steps
By Thom Lancaster

When you're releasing products as an Internet Marketer, it's your duty to try and maximise your sales and conversions. The reason for that is simple. You'll make more money by selling more products. You'll also add more buyers to your list of purchasers, enabling you to sell to them more often in the future. But how can you convert more prospects? You need to look at how you can increase the value of each product that you're selling. In this article, I'm going to explore three simple steps you can take to improve almost any product and increase the perceived value of it. These will enable you to relaunch the product at a higher price point, potentially making much more money from it in the future.

The first thing you should do is see if you can convert the product from an ebook to a video or audio product. Both of these latter types of products have a higher perceived value than an ebook and people are willing to pay more money for them. That is, if an e-book sells for $7, there's no reason why a video product cannot sell for $27 or even higher. You don't need to a video whiz to create a product like this. Put together some Powerpoint slides and capture these with a voiceover and Camtasia. You could even resort to simply reading the ebook aloud and capturing this as an MP3 file.

Next, you should see if you can redevelop the product and make it into a monthly membership site, rather than a single product. Again, this needn't be difficult. If you make it a fixed term membership site, say over 4 months, you may already find that you have enough material prepared to fill it. Just split your existing product over 4 months, and add some blog posts. You can even make your monthly membership site into a community. Add some challenges for the participants where they report back on how they've done. This will increase the amount of value you're offering as your membership develops an almost 'self-help' like aspect, and will allow you to sell access to the membership for higher amounts.

Third, consider what bonuses you are giving away with your product. It's a fact that closely aligned bonuses can help to tip someone who is considering purchasing over the edge. As a quick rule of thumb, aim for three different bonuses for each product. These might be your own products, or you could create short reports, videos or audios that complement your offer. Add these to the sales page and they will help you to make more sales.

There's no reason why you should have a product that doesn't bring you in as much money as you would like. Almost any product can be redeveloped and relaunched by following the three simple steps I've outlined in this article. See if you can change the modality of delivery to add to the perceived value; this might be through making a video product or converting a simpler product into a membership site. Make sure to incorporate bonuses that your prospects want. By taking action with these three simple strategies you can once again offer a successful online marketing product.
