Internet marketers and people with their own home business realize that, unless they have hordes of people to market their offering to, they have no business at all. And if you're one of these people, don't worry - help is at hand.
There are numerous ways to garner truck loads of leads for a home business, but one of my favorite has to be email marketing.
Now, by signing up to Viral URL.com you can get yourself many thousands of people to email to straight away. But once you have the list, how do you ensure the recipients actually open your message?
Well, this is where 'Subject Line Mastery' comes in and I will show you 3 ways to achieve it.
What you have to do is examine people on a primal level. What are the things that we react to instinctively? The things that we cannot help but respond to? Here are some tips;
1. Sex.
Whenever there's a mention of something, even slightly, sexual in ad copy things happen in us. Whether you're a clergyman or virile teenager, your body will react in such a way as to prepare for reproduction whether you like it or not. Your body temperature will rise, your breathing rate will increase etc, etc.
So if you infuse your subject lines with phrases of a sexual nature it will pique curiosity and the recipient is more likely to open it.
Example. 'Hey (name) look at these Fat Bottom Lines!'
Now, my statement is very much a double-entendre, but it serves as an example of how we can sexualize a subject line and still keep it within the bounds of decency, professionalism, and get the recipient to want to open it.
2. Food.
Imagine the following; A large, hot slice of Apple pie with steam rising from it. You can smell the apple and cinnamon aroma just before I pour thick creamy custard over it. Hmm.
As you read that, you probably began to salivate, right? Right. Again, it's an example of the involuntary physical response to external stimulus, this time 'The thought of sweet food'. So why not try to infuse your subject line with a food oriented flavor?
3. The avoidance of pain.
I don't usually use this method in my marketing because I don't want to repel the reader, but depending on what you're selling - insurance or financial products for example, it could work well. An example could be; 'Finances caught in your Zipper!'
You could then proceed to tell them how they can get it uncaught by taking your quick and painless offer!
I use these techniques on a regular basis and find that they turn up consistent results for me time and time again.So why not try them for yourself and see how they transform your email campaigns and take your business to new heights?
